Rendering artifacts in main menu bar (light theme)

On certain monitor zoom values, the main menu bar does not render over the whole area, such that a line of artifacts at the bottom or the right side of the menu remain.

Example configuration to reproduce:

• Primary monitor 200%
• Secondary monitor 175%

Artifacts are visible when moving the workbench window from primary to secondary monitor.

To produce artifacts, shrinking the shell and then increasing its width introduces a black artifact line as the bottom pixel line is not rendered for the area introduced by increased width.

@HeikoKlare Can you also add the resolutions of your monitor on which it is reproducible as I cannot reproduce it with the given configuration. I want to set the same resolution as yours and see if that changes anything

Resolution is 1720x1440 each (a split-up widescreen display).

After having a look at every release between 2024-06 and 2025-03, here are my findings:

• It seems to be present in every release where I can turn on the per-monitor dpi awareness (or set updateOnRuntime to true).
• For some reason, setting the updateOnRuntime flag in the eclipse.ini to true doesn't turn on the per-monitor scaling for the release 2024-06, hence I was not able to verify the behaviour for that release.
• The artifact line issue is only applicate when the updateOnRuntime is set to true and hence when per monitor scaling is active.
• If the primary monitor has a half or full zoom level (e.g. 150 or 200), then the artifact is visible on monitors with quarter zoom (e.g. 125) and vice versa.
• Since this issue is only valid when per monitor dpi awareness is active, I think it is some limitation from windows when we have a mixture of quarter and other zoom levels while having per-monitor dpi awareness

Hmm, can you try to re-create the menubar in a Snippet in the DPI change handler?
