Add an action to save clipboard contents to a file

I often want to save something stored in my clipboard to a file, e.g. images.

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like an action to be added to the action menu in the clipboard view to save the currently selected item to a file. Ideally it would ask me for a filepath or determine that via some configuration option.

Describe alternatives you've considered

At the moment, I save stuff by pasting it into Dolphin (when it works™ ¹²). If that fails I open the appropriate application (e.g. GIMP), paste and save. This process is quite cumbersome.
