Ability to Play Custom Videos as Background #697

Adding to this, this would be a fantastic feature! I just thought of a use case for this. I have been trying to get a reliable way to get a shuffled video screensaver setup for my PC (for example I like seeing "star wars biomes"-like 3-10m videos of scenery playing when my laptop goes idle next to me) and it's been a huge PITA, it just doesn't always work right with Wallpaper Engine If Bonjourr supports the ability to pull from a local folder of video (.mp4/.mov) files, with the ability to shuffle, that would be so awesome. I could still turn off blur and even dim it, and could just fullscreen my browser and it would be even better than the screensaver with all the widgets and information I can use in Bonjourr. It would be so appealing to have this up! Since Bonjourr settings sync across profiles (like if I'm logged into Firefox on 2 PCs), it might be difficult to keep the local folder sync. But if there's a way to pull files, such as a google drive folder with a viewable shared link, that could work better? I'm no expert but just throwing out ideas This would already be harder to setup than images, maybe, but then if this is supported then you could even do the same thing for images probably easier. Having a shuffle toggle (on/off) and timer setting (something like off / 30m / 1h / 1 session, but would have to adjust for videos playing the next one when it ends) would probably be a must, if you do this Just some food for thought! Edit: Looks like the idea discussion for the "custom images via folder" is already here, and I see mention of pulling from local files not being possible. In that case could it pull from a cloud link somewhere? |

I really love Bonjourr but I was curious if it would be possible to play .mov files to have a live background? It would be like the videos that are already given upon installation, but custom videos instead.
