This sounds like a bug, not a feature-by-design. I've never experienced a non-dismissable Bonjourr announcements, so I'm thinking it may be a recent regression or something configuration-specific. But I do remember being a bit confused by a recent Bonjourr announcement, in that it wasn't clear how to dismiss it. Somehow I figured it out, but I don't recall exactly what I did (perhaps I just clicked on the announcement?). You mentioned that you clicked the [x] to dismiss the announcement, but I don't see that [x] in the screenshot you provided. Where was it? |

I would like to dismiss the update announcment on the start page until there's a new update that I haven't read.
I've clicked through and read the blog post. I've also clicked the [x] to dismiss the announcement. I've also donated, because I love Bonjourr and use it on all my devices. But it always comes back!
I don't want to disable announcements entirely, because I like knowing about updates and new features. But once I've read and dismissed the announcement, I'm ready for it to go away.
