Hi there! This esp solution is not working with the wifi models of the pump. I recall one guy replaced the whole motherboard on his pump to an older non wifi mb to get it to work. |

It's got wifi and I've added an external antenna but it keeps disconnecting from the network (AP is literally 20 ft away) and misses the on/off cycles. So it's on full time now but the temp regulation SUCKS. I've integrated it into Home Assistant, but the wifi is so bad, the chink servers can keep the thing operating. I even got a second pump assy from Bestway that has the same problem so I have something I can modify.
you can see the dropouts in the yellow graph. The colder it gets outside the worse it is.
you can see with it on full time in the past day, the temp varies widely from 102-106.
This is the pump I have

Anyone tried it with this pump? I'd like to use an esp and automations to control everything. Perhaps it might be easier to just take control using 3 relays, but I'd lose the display controls.
