Broke MQTT somehow

Had this working, for over a year.

Had to take the pump apart to fix a water leak for some reason, and realized I never conformal coated the board, so a couple of my wires broke. Fixed them, and realized I was 2 releases behind, so updated. Didn't back up my settings file (so 100% self inflicted, and I know better...).

Got the pump controls fixed, and put my MQTT settings in for Home Assistant, but Home Assistant isn't seeing it anymore. I did delete the "old" instance from Home Assistant, and I've rebooted a couple times since then for various reasons, but Mosquitto still doesn't see it.

I think my program upload might be the issue. I have the MQTT flag enabled, and it was before I submitted this, but I can't get the toggle for "buttons versus bars" to actually work, and I think one of the other pages has some missing text. So might be a bad upload not "actually" working right.

As the status message says "good to go!" but it isnt.

What files from the file system should I have "backed up" so I don't have to rebuild the connection to the hot tub AGAIN. (and maybe have MQTT pre-filled out, so I don't have to dig up my MQTT password again?)

I tried uploading the firmware again, and it doesn't seem to have made any difference, even with a forced restart of the ESP (from the web interface.) This still looks bunk for some reason.

Still not sure why some of the features of the website are busted, but the issue with MQTT is that I had the "base topic" left as the default "layzspa", when mosquitto is expecting "homeassistant". So that's fixed now.

There is presently no way of backing up the credentials from the files, since that would be revealing your secrets.
Preferably I would have saved such things in the "EEPROM" instead of on the filesystem, but that's not the way it is now.

On the other hand, you CAN upload newer files one by one instead of uploading the whole FS at once. Then your credentials files will still be there.
