Same issue here. M4 Max but it takes ~4 minutes to build packages on a monorepo |

Just FYI, I have been using Vite 8 Beta (which uses rolldown) in production without any issues. It is insanely fast (20x). I didn't find it difficult to switch to it. This particular issue will probably not be addressed because the upcoming Vite 8 already addresses it. I am therefore closing the discussion. |

Hi,
I also asked this question on the esbuild threads (evanw/esbuild#2454 (comment)). Apologies if this is bad etiquette.
I'm using Vite.js 3.0 for my React SPA of ~2000 transformed modules. The project itself has ~490 files. I am using @vitejs/plugin-react.
My
vite.config.tsis simply:When I build the project, CPU utilization rarely goes above 5% during the transform phase, and the project takes about 30s to build.
My machine is a Ryzen 9 3950x (16 cores), and it doesn't seem that esbuild is using more than one core.
My question is, what can I do to improve build speeds. I am certainly not getting anything close to what the esbuild benchmarks show.
