Teams integration with language

Not directly a Transcriptonic issue but maybe you can have a clue on how to fix that : for an unknown reason, I'm unable to manually switch Teams web subtitles language ; I can click on the config wheel icon, but then the only language available is "English", even if my browser locale is french, my Teams account is set up in french, etc...

On Teams mac app, the same language select box for subtitles is filled with all languages. and when I switch language on the mac app, the subtitles appears in the newly selected language in the web app !

do you have any clue on, for example, using an URL specific parameter to force this language parameter ?

Apart from that, thanks a lot for this little extension which is a game changer for my work life !

@gidehault I tried a couple of things

1. I see a list of languages on my end. It might be a bug on Teams web app. You can check in incognito mode and see. If it works there, then it probably is cache/cookies issue, which could be solved by clearing browsing data. If that doesn't solve the issue, you can try on a different device or check with another person. This can help understand if this issue is for your account or could be region/country specific.
2. In Teams web app, there is a settings page (three dots menu next on top right > Settings). In the general tab, there is a setting for language. Try changing that language and see that helps in seeing more languages in the dropdown or if that language gets auto applied for next meetings. It did not seem to work for me though, but you should still give it a try.
3. This page says that if meeting organizer has done some settings, it might prevent the participants from changing the langauge (see the last important callout in the captions section). I don't know if this might apply since you are able to change the langauge on the desktop app, but might be still worth checking.

This is the best I could come up with. Let me know if you find anything else and solve this problem—I can add it in the wiki and could help others as well.

PS: You are the first person to share feedback on Teams part of TranscripTonic. So if there is anything else you would like to share, please do. I don't know if the Teams part is stable enough to remove the Beta tag, so would appreciate your thoughts on that too.

apart from that, I can testify that I'm using successfully Transcriptonic on both Meet/Teams/Zoom for all my meetings (sometime longer than 2 hours long), and it's working great !

I only had one issue one, after finishing a meeting on Teams it didn't detect the end of the meeting, but I was able to recover it with Transcriptonic UI.

thanks again for this awesome tool, much better than commercial ones to have a perfect cutting between participants. With the capacity to call a webhook, it's becoming my perfect tool to automate all my meeting retranscriptions and integrate them in my workflow !

When meeting is ended by someone else (Teams/Zoom), meeting end might not be auto detected. Right now, it is a little complex to handle that—will think about it in the future once usage picks up. If you find any other situation when this happens, feel free to open an issue.
