Ability to perform update-service via cf cli?

I see the ability to pave a brand new space via the cf-cli-resource but wasn't completely sure how to implement update-service with pipeline-tasks + cf-cli-resource? Also, just general thoughts on leveraging pipelines for the management of services especially promotion of changing service plans as we move through the pipeline, updating service configuration (e.g. spring cloud config / eureka peer replication config, etc) and performing update-service on on-demand brokered data services.
