Why was icon browser removed from gtk4-demo? #55194

A while back icon-browser was moved from gtk4 to gtk4-demo (I'm guessing) upstream. That's why I had to install gtk4-demo as well. What's the reason for that? Also, generally, why don't have commits with these kind of changes no comment included to explain the reason for changes that go beyond updating a package or making an update that needs some adjusting necessary work? Luckily, I had a snapshot that had that last gtk4 package with icon browser included, so I didn't have to compile it myself anew... I know this icon browser is limited and a more general one would be better, but I couldn't find any. There were talks about one for xfce... in 2022... still not available. So, the gtk4 one is still valuable to me. :-) |
