On Ubuntu Focal 20.04, you need to `sudo apt update && sudo apt install libncurses5`.

 A: Similar to above, and using e.g. https://pkgs.org/search/?q=libcrypt.so.1 we can see that e.g. `sudo dnf install libxcrypt-compat` does the trick for Fedora 39.
