This module does not currently appear to support CentOS 8, any desire to do so in the future?

@latez can you please provide some more information:

1. are you setting any parameters for checkmk class (either using class resource type or via hiera) or if you are using the defaults
2. Which Puppet Version are you using? 5, 6 or 7?

I think this is actually a bug that's been fixed in puppet 7.5.0 released yesterday. See https://puppet.com/docs/puppet/7.5/release_notes_puppet.html#syntax-error-in-previously-valid-puppet-code-due-to-removal-of-keywords
