Can we directly host html files not md files

I have a lot of html files from my old websites, and want to host these using vitepress.
Can we directly using html files? I think wrap html conten in md file may work, but skip markdown resolve process maybe save time., and also i need to update html files often, i don't want to convert html files to md files every time.
