For a brand new website, should I use the new v2.0.0-alpha.9 version to avoid later refactoring from 1.6.3? #4890

Since the homepage promotes it, it feels like it's ready to be used, right? ![]() |

The accepted answer is good. The alphas are very stable. But... It also shouldn't really matter if you target 1.6.3 and migrated later. I have a reasonably customized/hacked-about site (vite & markdown-it & shiki plugins; customized theme; plenty of custom vue components; client-side scripts; etc) which I migrated to the alpha without any changes. |

Heyyyy
Yes, you can start with
v2.0.0-alpha.9
for a new project — it’s promoted on the homepage and quite stable for most use cases. Just keep in mind it's still in alpha, so things might slightly change. If you're okay updating later, it's a good pick.Or press Mark as answer under this message to help others. Thanks!
