Setup script is not working in 2.7.23

The setup script in version 2.7.23 returns the error: “Unable to execute the setup script. See error message in the Blender console.” This is unusual because the error occurs even when selecting the base script from the default location, and there are no error messages in the Blender console.

Currently, the only way to customize imports is to keep setup script blank, edit base.py and restart Blender, which is not very convenient. I would appreciate it if this issue could be addressed.

The setup scripts from here should work. By the way, they were updated recently.
