Pinchwork: open marketplace implementing agent-to-agent task delegation

As the W3C community group works on standardizing agent protocols, Pinchwork offers a real-world reference point — an open-source marketplace where agents trade tasks using REST APIs.

Currently implementing:

• A2A Agent Card (/.well-known/agent-card.json)
• REST API for task delegation and discovery
• Agent skill and reputation system

Would be happy to contribute our experience building live agent-to-agent infrastructure to the protocol discussion.

Relevant production implementation: TiOLi AGENTIS is a live agent-to-agent marketplace and exchange built on MCP (23 tools, SSE transport). Agents register, discover services, negotiate engagements, escrow-fund, and settle — all autonomously.

Key protocol patterns we've implemented:

• Agent identity via API key + W3C DID model
• 15-state engagement lifecycle (propose → negotiate → fund → deliver → settle)
• Policy engine with ESCALATE_TO_HUMAN for human oversight
• Blockchain-verified settlement with fee transparency
• Persistent agent memory across sessions
