Description
RDF Message
The definition od RDF message entails that it is only a matter of interpretation
- "An RDF Message is an RDF Dataset that ..."
Therefore we are not really introducing a new notion but giving an alias for an RDF Dataset, when it is interpreted as a "communicative act". I would suggest making it explicit that for RDF, RDF message is just a denomination as there is no structural nor semantic difference with a dataset.
About the notes:
- Each RDF Message is a separate "world" : not clear what this means: is it to say that the consumer is responsible of providing context to each message? I suggest to make it more explicit
- About the size: the note is vague, what does it means "rather small"? We may say that RDF messages are intended to be of limited size, in relative terms
- About referring to specific messages: why can't we refer to an RDD message? We can certainly refer to an RDF dataset, and therefore also to a message. Another thing is that this specification is not interested in specifying how to do that.
Example
Perhaps we can add other examples to show that RDF messages are independent of any specific model, like:
ex:obs1 a sosa:Observation ;
sosa:observedProperty sosa-cap:TemperatureAccuracy ;
sosa:isObservedBy ex:IBS-TH2-Plus-T-687343;
sosa:hasResult [
qudt:value 0.5 ;
qudt:hasUnit unit:DEG_C ;
] .
