Newer additions for SC 1.3.4 Orientation include the word" precondition", which is not defined, and may not be sufficiently understood, in the WCAG2ICT context

Although other standards use this word very frequently, "precondition" is not defined anywhere in WCAG2ICT, and may not be sufficiently understood by all our audiences. I think we had similar discussions in the past and we ended up removing "precondition" from some existing proposals, but this one did slip through.

I think we should substitute "precondition" with something that is self-explanatory and publish a future WCAG2ICT Note update. I think this would be an editorial change.

in WCAG we just use the word "conditional" or "condition" rather than precondition -- but it is the same thing. We have many provisions that include conditions that limit the requirement to some aspect or type of technology

So this would be more a "consistency" or 'lack of alignment with WCAG" issue. IMO we should fix anyways :-)
