Suggestion: Use Camel Case for Multi-Word Link Text to Improve Screen Reader Pronunciation

As a blind screen reader user and accessibility tester, I frequently encounter links that consist of multiple words with no spacing and either all lowercase or all uppercase letters (e.g., "opendoordesign" or "OPENDOORDESIGN"). Screen readers often mispronounce or slur these words together.

I’d like to suggest that WCAG Techniques or supporting guidance encourage use of camel case (capitalizing the first letter of each word) when spacing cannot be used. For example:

• Recommended: OpenDoorDesign
• Not recommended: opendoordesign or OPENDOORDESIGN

This improves screen reader pronunciation and also enhances readability for sighted users with cognitive challenges.

While spacing is preferred, camel case offers a useful fallback for branding or design-driven links.
