Problem tracking activity with the extension in windsurf

I'm assuming that since it's a fork of VSCode, it's the same extension. I'm having issues with the tracking — 'AI coding' never shows up in the tracking, so all the time I'm working with the agent isn't being tracked at all. It only tracks code when I write it manually, but all the activity involving the agent in Windsurf goes untracked. Could this be an issue with the extension? Is there any way I can help get this resolved?

Here, for example, it shows up as VSCode and not Windsurf, and it only shows 5 hours, even though I actually spent much more time. I’m not sure if it just doesn’t have support yet to recognize activity with Cascade.

We fixed the editor displayed now, so it shows Windsurf instead of VS Code.

We do track when code is inserted by the AI chat sidebar, but we don't have any way to detect the time you're spending typing prompts into the AI chat sidebar.

Also, our AI Coding category works best right now with Copilot but we'll tweak it soon to detect AI Coding by Windsurf better. Until then your time in Windsurf will go to the normal Coding category.
