file chunking / rolling checksum?

Hi,

I am pretty excited about ate so far, but I have a question about atefs that I couldn't figure out last night when skimming through the FUSE code.

Is there any sort of file chunking and/or rolling checksum happening?

For context, I am also really excited about the https://gitlab.com/asuran-rs/asuran project, which I think ate-interested folks would also find neat. In that project, there is particular care given to:

• de-duplicating blocks as much as possible
• use chunking to obfuscate original block sizes
• using secret material to further obfuscate block sizes so they're unique per user-repo

I think there's also been some discussion of how effective asuran actually is at achieving those goals in their Matrix chat, along with considerations for the future and mentions of a rework, so something to keep an eye on or maybe share notes with?

Anyway, I finally arrive at my question - does ate already take these security features into consideration? Are they considered to be part of the roadmap? To me they feel congruent with other project goals.
