Hi there - no, the problem is that currently no Apple Silicon Mac can provide HiDPI resolutions beyond 3840px vertically (check the Display Information... for max horizontal resolutions for the port). This is why high resolution ultrawides are not a good fit for macOS (unless you like huge or tiny GUIs). The only solution is using virtual screens (note: you can enable 8K+ support under Settings > Dispalys > General > Additional Settings... to allow high resolution virtual screens, so you can get 4608x.. HiDPI - but you might encounter some macOS bugs and additional performance issues). |

I have the same monitor, and will try both the virtual screens and PBP workarounds @DuckBrained I'm wondering if you found another workaround in the meantime and how you're using the monitor now? Edit: I have to say that using virtual screens, as @waydabber suggested, after enabling high resolution virtual screens, works pretty well. I'm using a HiDPI resolution 4800x2000 now which is the scaling that I want. |

I believe this is an enhancement request, these are my findings when using this display with a Mac. Note that whilst this is advertised as a 21:9 display it's actually a 24:10 resolution
BetterDisplay doesn't add any additional HiDPI options no-matter what settings I change for the display itself.
The best result I could get was creating a virtual screen mirror with a custom resolution of 4032x1920 (21:9) which gave lovely scaling except with black bars on each side as this isn't the full HiDPI resolution.
The true HiDPI resolution needed is 4608x1920 (24:10). However, when providing this as a custom resolution either to a virtual display or to the custom resolutions list for the display itself, it will only render as LoDPI so is basically fuzzy.
I think because this is a new resolution class, BetterDisplay isn't aware that it's a HiDPI capable resolution.
My workaround so far is to use it in PBP mode with two connections to the Mac. This results in the ability to have dozens of excellent HiDPI options.
So I suspect this may be something that BetterDisplay needs to be "made aware of" some kind of new scaling/resolution option.
