Portrait Mode not using full iPad screen

For the life of me I cannot this application to work any more
Details:
MAC OS Tahoe 26.4, MacBook Pro (M2)
iPad Pro 11" (M4), also on iPadOS 26.4
BetterDisplay Version 4.2.0 Pre-Release Build 48042
following the link (https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Rotated-Sidecar) exactly.
Connect ipad. Verify sidebar/touchbar are off
My ipad is currently in portrait orientation, however, sidecar support landscape, so screen is rotated
Create virtual screen
Match aspect ration (choosing my only ipad option)
Associate with this display - on
Configure full screen - on
Rotation - 270 (my usb port is UP)
Create
I go into Display settings and arrange displays so my Virtual is to the left.
Great. Its working.
I disconnect the Sidecar and reattach.
Here is where it gets ODD
Sometime (less than 40%) it works
The background is rotated 90degrees clockwise.
The mouse moves normally, relative to the built in display
The screen acts like it is rotated

What the heck? can I provide and data to assist with troubleshooting this?

It's just an iPadOS bug, the Sidecar app is landscape-only, but sometimes can rotate (you'll see the vertical iPadOS navigation bar in the wrong pace which should confirm it - also if you simply stop BD streaming the desktop should still be cropped, showing it's an iPad Sidecar app issue). If this happens, try to restart the Sidecar app, or make sure you lock your iPad in landscape mode before you rotate it into portrait mode.

That is a crazy bug. Seems to work almost all the time now. Occasionally, the tracking gets off...I try to slide a window over and it gets stuck on the main display and once the mouse hits the ipad it goes in the wrong direction. I un-maxed a window, then the window slide happened.
