Description
What feature would you like to see?
Currently when doing calculations for the Guardians in the Chambers of Xeric if you change the party size the "party's sum of mining levels" does not change. In fact it remains at 99 unless changed by the user. I am suggesting that when the value of party size is changed the calculator should automatically adjust the sum of mining value (preferably to party size * 99). I believe that this will alert proficient users to scrutinize this value when performing calculations and be more inline with casual users expectations.
Proficient users will see a value above 100 for mining level which is different from how other calculators handle mining level (notably they use average mining level). Casual users will find that guardians have less hp than suggested (it is common for many players to do a 3+4, or set the scale to 7 while only having 3 actual players). In a 3+4 of max players by only changing party size users will find current behavior to suggest guardians have 660hp each instead of the correct 772hp. With my suggestion implemented guardians would instead display 1000hp.
I do not believe this change to be without drawbacks but I think it is better than current behavior. If the dps calculator is to behave differently from other calculators (and I admit I vastly prefer the party's sum of mining levels to the alternative of average mining level) I think it should behave differently enough to alert the user something they might not be used to is happening.
