What novel use-case does the Connector provide?

There is already Frame support in the Injected connector but a native eth-provider connection would allow Frame to be used directly by all wagmi consumers without a browser extension. The Frame connector is intended to use the injected provider where available and when not available, connect to Frame via eth-provider.

Are the Connector's integrations production-ready and generally available?

Yes:
