In #1052 @RReverser and I discussed the formatting of the source code. In particular, @RReverser might volunteer to write a script that takes care of formatting automatically.

I recall @domenic and @foolip expressing interest in having this.

Before we do that, we should probably discuss what conventions we want to keep and which we are okay to part with. E.g., there have been suggestions that rather than having a 100 column width, we should have logical breaks of some kind. It has also been noted that breaking inside an attribute value might not be the best thing to do for readability, etc.
