Description

The script provides a modified shortcut for the Zotero shortcuts '+' and 'Right Arrow'.

• '+': Compared to the '+' shortcut which expands all the items or collections, this script only expands the selected items, collection or library.
• 'Right Arrow': Compared to the 'Right Arrow' shortcut which only expands the first level of the selected items, collection or library, this script expands all sub-levels, including sub-collections and attachments annotations.

Tested with the shortcut Ctrl+E.

Note

The script gets very slow as the number selected items is large. Only use on a few items.

Works great too, thanks!! Using Linux with Zotero 8.0.3. (As for #563, for some reason, I cannot bind it to variations of the right arrow: none of Shift + Right arrow, Ctrl + Right arrow, or Alt + Right arrow work. Ctrtl + E works fine, though).

I also had troubles with the shortcut Ctrl+-.
It is probably worth checking if the problem is limited to this script, or if it shows for these shortcuts on all scripts.
And then make a bug report to the plugin to see if it is a plugin problem or a more fundamental Zotero limitation.

I remember seeing other shortcuts that did not work before.
It would be nice to have a list of forbidden shortcuts to use in the plugin.

From googling around and asking LLMs, it seems using the arrow is a fundamental limitation (seems that Zotero intercepts it first).
Ctrl - : I also see this with this and other scripts.
I've asked a question at #564 and have added there your suggestion of creating a list of forbidden keybindings.
