If you have notes in Zotero and you want to sync them to outside markdowns, export them and check If you have notes in Zotero and some markdown files on the disk that are used to be in sync with the notes, use the If you have markdown files on disk and want to sync them to Zotero notes, use File -> Import notes. |

I happen to use Obsidian. I created a note in Zotero and then clicked on Better Notes’ Sync Manager as mentioned in the documentation.
The documentation stops here and everything should synchronise automatically. It sounds too good to be true and it probably is.
So at this point this empty window appears. What do you do with it? I clicked on Refresh and on Sync, but nothing happens!

I clicked on Detect… which asks to “Select folder to detect”… whose folder?

I suspect it’s the Obsidian folder; I indicated it, but then nothing happened but this error:
I tried again with one of its subfolders where it keeps the .md note files; it doesn’t work better!
So, how does one set the auto‐synchronisation to really work?
