Can We Translate To Bangla?

Bangla has over 242 million native speakers and another 43 million as second language speakers as of 2025. Bengali is the sixth most spoken native language and the seventh most spoken language by the total number of speakers in the world.

If we decide to add Bangla, I will be happy to help translate.

Hi! Thank you for your interest in translating Astro docs!

Because our docs project is very large, and is constantly updated, we normally need several volunteers from each language in order to maintain the documentation, even after initial translating. If others are interested in helping, it would help us decide whether we can support a new language.

But, we always need new languages added to Starlight's built-in UI! I don't think we have Bangla right now, and it would be a much smaller task (and would help a lot of people!) to add translated UI strings there.
