Conditional Variables

I'm trying to set variables based on a preprocessor variable

Here's the preprocessor variable

<ProductName>tornado</ProductName>
<DefineConstants>ProductNameInfo=$(ProductName)</DefineConstants>

Here's the conditional code

<?define ProdName="prodname"?>

<?if $(var.ProductNameInfo) = "sandstorm" ?>
	<?define ProdName="Sandstorm Installer"?>
<?endif?>

<?if $(var.ProductNameInfo) = "tornado" ?>
	<?define ProdName="Tornado Installer"?>
<?endif?>

<?if $(var.ProductNameInfo) = "earthquake" ?>
	<?define ProdName="Earthquake Installer"?>
<?endif?>

<Product Id="*" 
			Name="$(var.ProdName)"
			Version="4.2.3.0000"
			Language="1033"

In all cases it uses "prodname" as the Product Name.

What's the right way to do this?
