Where to start with custom bootstrapper

I’m looking into building a new custom bootstrapper using WIX 4 and .Net Core. I see that the documentation around bundles and WixToolset.Mba.Core is work in progress, so just after a bit of advice on the best way to go. The repo contains some test projects, TestBA and WixToolset.WixBA. Are they a good starting point or are there better examples? Are the many articles and posts on custom bootstrappers using previous versions of WIX still applicable or will they just confuse?
