How do you set where the output from HarvestDirectory goes to?

I'm using HarvestDirectory but Wix is complaining that my component group doesn't exist. I assume now that the file is being written somewhere but the main wix app is looking for it somewhere else. How do I force the location so I can check it got written in my build script?
