Base setup default features are installing when uninstalling the AddOn setup

I have a base setup and an add-on setup. I created the add-on setup by setting the RelatedBundleId to the base setup's RelatedBundleId and the action to AddOn.

When I uninstall the add-on setup, the base setup enters a repair state. However, instead of restoring the originally installed features, the default features are installed.

Can you please advise me on how to retain the feature states of the base setup when uninstalling the add-on setup?
