[Product Definition Template 4.153] Some octet numbers are incorrect #350
Description
Introduction
As I was updating the NOAA/NCEP GRIB2 documentation to reflect the recent WMO V36 GRIB2 update, I noticed that some of the octet numbers in product definition template 4.153 are mislabeled. This can be corrected in the next semi-annual update.
Amendment details
These are the octet numbers I am referring to:
21-23 4 Forecast time in units defined by octet 20 (see Note 2) 111
24 1 Type of first fixed surface (see Code table 4.5) 4.5
25 1 Scale factor of first fixed surface
26-30 4 Scaled value of first fixed surface
I think they should be updated to these:
21-24 4 Forecast time in units defined by octet 20 (see Note 2) 111
25 1 Type of first fixed surface (see Code table 4.5) 4.5
26 1 Scale factor of first fixed surface
27-30 4 Scaled value of first fixed surface
