How do I get the pageNum for the item in the outline object?

Can you please update the original question with a brief description of what you're trying to achieve? There's a number of ways to get pageNumber e.g. on onItemClick call but not sure what would be suitable for your needs.

I got a solution but it seems like a hack. So the here is the code:

 // I was searching for this function 
function getPageNumber(dest: {num: number, gen: number}): Promise<number>{
      return pdf.getPageIndex(dest); <--Answer
}

function handleOutlineLoadSuccess(outline: any){
    // this outline has all the data, but does not point to any pageNumber directly  .

Perhaps there is a simpler solution.
