We’ve made updates to our experimental order creation feature. Variable products now show the list of their attributes.
We also added another experimental feature – Coupon management! Head to the More tab, settings, and Experimental settings to enable it. We welcome your feedback on the app, especially the new features we’re working on and giving early access to.
A special thank you goes to GitHub user chrisKns for helping contribute improvements to this release. ❤

We’ve refreshed a bit of the My Store tab based on your feedback. You’ll see a conversion percentage and now top 5 (instead of 3) products sold.
You’ve been asking to create orders in the app. We’re happy to say we have a sneak peek ready if you want to help us test it out! Head over to settings in the app and turn on the experimental feature for Order Creation. Right now, you can add products, notes, and addresses, and future releases will have additional functionality.

You’ll notice a new tab called “Menu” in this release. We’ve moved store settings, switching between different stores, and viewing WooCommerce Admin to that screen. More functionality will appear there over the next couple of months!
This release also includes a fix for the product screen where the product’s name would revert back to the previous one if you uploaded an image. Thank you for reporting bugs – we are listening!
8.4.0.0
- In-Person Payments: Support for Stripe M2 card reader. [#5844]
- We introduced a new tab called "Menu", a tab in the main navigation where you can browser different sub-sections of the app: Switch Store, Settings, WooCommerce Admin, View Store and Reviews. [#5926]
- Store admins can now access sites with plugins that have Jetpack Connection Package (e.g. WooCommerce Payments, Jetpack Backup) in the app. These sites do not require Jetpack-the-plugin to connect anymore. Store admins can still install Jetpack-the-plugin from the app through settings or a Jetpack banner. [#5924]
- Add/Edit Product screen: Fix transient product name while adding images.[#5840]

Merchants have been asking us for a quick way to record a transaction in the app with minimal information – like with only a charge amount. Maybe you’re at a farmer’s market and simply want to charge a customer’s credit card and don’t need to manage inventory. This release includes a new “Simple Payments” feature on the orders tab. If you’re a WooCommerce Payments customer, you’ll find this works great with the In-Person Payments credit card reader! Don’t have a credit card reader yet? Alternatively, you easily send a payment link to your customer to pay with their device through your site.
Also included in this release is the ability to refund fees on an order. We also snuck in an experimental SKU input barcode reader when editing a product which can be enabled in Settings.
We’re working on several exciting features coming in the next few months. Keep sending us your feedback!
