No allow on ownership

Hey guys,
for a customer, I am currently building a webshop where you have to buy Product A in order to be able to buy products B, C, D or E.
When I put them together in the basket and check them out together, it works. But if I buy Product A first (which is a variable product, just to be clear), and then later choose to buy any of the other products, it tells me that this doesn't work....
So..... what do I do wrong? I set the setting to Purchase/Ownership, and I am the administrator of this page....any ideas?

i replaced the the check ownership funktion

I'm running out of the blue into the same issue. Members have to have purchased a product in the past to be able to purchase the new related product. Both are simple products. At the moment everyone who is eligible is getting the same message as any non-eligible member and is thus unable to make a purchase.

It doesn't matter whether I choose Ownership / Purchase / Either as setting.

Currently running:

• WordPress 6.8.2
• WooCommerce 10.1.2
• WooCommerce Product Dependencies 2.0.1

@immohacker's solution to replace that code block (v2.0.1: lines 354-399) did work for me to get the members to proceed for now but I still need to dive deeper in it if this is the actual solution.

I see that v2.0.1 has been tested up to WooCommerce v9.0, so if time permits, can the team have a look at this bug to make it WooCommerce 10.x compatible? Would be very much appreciated!

Same problem for me:

• The plugin is set up to validate purchase or ownership (either)
• I have purchased the required product in the past (simple product)
• I want to add a (variable) product to the cart that requires the already purchased product
• I am getting the error that the product cannot be added and need to add the required product first
