Currently the map starter-kit can only be reliably installed via npm install ----legacy-peer-deps, otherwise one runs into version conflicts.

Even then, the installed packages have multiple critical vulnerabilities that have already been patched in newer versions.

Your dependabot already suggested some upgrades.
Bringing your package.json and package-lock.json up to date would be highly appreciated.
