We're excited to announce the release of cascette-rs, our new open-source Rust implementation of Blizzard's Next Generation Data Pipeline (NGDP) for World of Warcraft emulation!

📦 What's Included

The initial release brings two production-ready components:

🔧 ngdp-bpsv

A complete BPSV (Blizzard PSV) parser and writer featuring:

• Type-safe field definitions (STRING, HEX, DEC)
• Schema validation and sequence number handling
• Builder pattern for document creation
• Full round-trip compatibility

🌐 ribbit-client

A comprehensive Ribbit protocol client supporting:

• All Blizzard regions (US, EU, CN, KR, TW, SG)
• V1 (MIME) and V2 (PSV) protocol formats
• Product version queries and CDN configuration retrieval
• SHA-256 checksum validation
• PKCS#7/CMS signature parsing
• Async/await with Tokio

🖥️ ngdp-client CLI

A new command-line tool for exploring NGDP data with:

• Beautiful table formatting with colored output
• Direct access to Ribbit endpoints
• Support for all regions and products

Add to your Cargo.toml:

We're actively working on the tact-client component for TACT content transfer protocol support, which will enable:

• Content manifest parsing
• Encoding tables
• Download, install, and patch manifests
