How to reboot whilst connected to USB link

I wanted to reboot my SystemCore without getting up to power cycle it, so I tried soft rebooting it. However I tried doing this whilst connected via the USB link, so unfortunately it booted into DFU mode before I realised what I just did. Oops.

I recognise that always booting into flash mode when the USB link is connected means it's much easier to recover than the roboRIO 1, and I'm thankful for it. But is there a way to reboot the SystemCore without power cycling it, and without an Ethernet or WLAN connection?

Not that I’m aware of. But why do you need to reboot the entire device instead of just restarting the robot program?

I was actually trying to reconfigure the network interfaces. I wasn't noticing any of my new settings take effect, so I looked at the network requests and noticed a "reboot_required": true in the response.
