The original UEFITool that supports editing hasn't been updated for almost 10 years afaik, so it's not surprising that newer UEFI isn't readable by it. UEFITool developer has been slowly working on adding the ability to modify UEFI images to the new version but it doesn't seem like it's releasing any time soon. You could try other tools I guess, UEFITool README has some alternatives listed at the bottom |

I'm really stuck on the first step. I have attached images of my issue for context. I'm using a BIOS extracted from an update executable file.
Whenever I try to pull up the .fd BIOS file onto UEFITool, 0.28.0 is completely unable to show me most of the files. I can see it much better using the latest UEFITool NE version A71, though. Obviously, it doesn't help that I can see it if I can't edit it, and I can't edit it if there isn't anything to edit.
In the second image, I also highlighted the volume I need to append to, but I still can't edit this file in either UEFITool or MMTool. I'm hoping someone can help with this.
