How Do I Uninstall Twinkle Tray?

Search for Installed Apps from the start menu. Find Twinkle Tray and uninstall it.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro. I dont see an Installed Apps option.

I am unable to remove Twinkle Tray. I have tried a lot.

I click uninstall from Installed Apps:

Even though Twinkle Tray is not running, it says it is running:

After clicking OK, it goes on to say - Twinkle Tray cannot be closed. Please close manually:

Twinkle is nowhere to be found in Task Manager apps:

Please help!!

Did you try the details panel? Sometimes the apps show up there and not the task list:

@samaursa thank you for trying to help. I do not see any Twinkle Tray process or app under details.

I cannot uninstall it or update it.

For both it says close it manually, even though it is not running. I closed a lot of processes to find which one is the sticking one but haven't been able to.

Can you go here: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\twinkle-tray and see if Twinkle Tray.exe exists

I have the same issue. W10 Pro.
Twinkle Tray.exe exists at mentioned location.

Since updating to latest ver. isn't possible directly, I tried disabling it in startup, restarted PC. Same issue.
Tried uninstalling it after PC startup. Uninstaller still reports the app is running (even tho it isn't), and I have to close it manually and click Retry. At this point I can't do anything more.

I'm currently on 1.71.0

Thanks, that worked. Removed Twinkle Tray.exe from location, restarted PC, and updated it.

@samaursa , yes "Twinkle Tray.exe" existed at that location. I renamed it and tried the uninstaller again and it worked this time. I was able to remove Twinkle Tray.
