I tried HZ_500 again and left it at default; e.g. disabled change to HZ_1000 in spec file.

I wish for a low-latency kernel. Who doesn't want that? So, I tried various kernels. The one that stands out is the xanmod kernel with some customization applied.
Low latency results were captured on Fedora 38.

Please, do tell me if you dislike the customization. I've been running this for several weeks under varied work loads. Perhaps, I do not need to change the tick rate. The reason is that my CPU fan runs louder with HZ_500 for some reason (similar work loads). I have sensitive hearing and noticed it immediately running the xanmod kernel as is. I misplaced the URL where I received the inspiration to change the tick rate to 1000 for the xanmod kernel. Maybe, I need to revisit the 500 HZ again.
I documented in the spec file where I received the inspiration for the customization. Keeping RCU_LAZY disabled resulted in better performance for me. CachyOS has it enabled.
