sorry, dont think I can help much here. I can replicate the issue your having if I disable Timelapse on the config modal. It looks like the TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAME is being ignored on your Klipper (this is the same behaviour I'm getting when I disable the timelapse on config modal). But I can see that you have the timelapse enabled on yours. Might be worth toggling it off and on again. then trying again? if not, might be a deeper issue with config/DB. |

So, I toggled the Timelapse "enable" switch (in Settings) off, then (after a pause) back on, and this was while a print was happening, and this time pressing the macro button to take a snapshot, resulted in a seemingly permanent circling-waiting thing on the button, and still no snap shot image was created. Reloading the Mainsail web page gets the button looking normal again. 7:18 PM 7:33 PM |

@DougJoseph Maybe you have tried this, I'd probably try and do a fresh re-install and see if the problem is still happening. Also, saw your camera, have you removed the protective film on the lens? I think it should be clearer. |

Update: I've now installed the mod (the current build with time lapse included) on a fresh, new, third AD5M, and made sure its camera works, and made sure I selected the camera in the settings in the timelapse panel, and I'm not getting any time lapse snapshots or anything on that printer either. That's now two printers I have attempted and gotten no results. The following are the results of when I enter "GET_TIMELAPSE_SETUP" in the console: 
Surely there must be some setup step I'm not aware of, or some needed library that's missing or something. Can anyone else give me anymore advice or a nudge on where to look? |

Oof, afaik you have set it up correctly. Could you send all your klipper .cfg files? It might be a way to replicate if by transplanting them to one of our printers. I'm not promising a quick follow up, everything is busy busy just before the holiday season here. |

Hum...I had mine working in Fluidd on the printer originally, but have since moved to running a Raspberry Pi 5 connected via moonraker to the printer, and disabled the (older) Fluidd and Mainsail files on the printer natively, so all my control operations are run through the Fluidd on rpi. The only other thing I would recommend, is to go into your printer g-code setup in Orca slicer and make sure you have the code in the TIMELAPSE section, not in the "before layer" g-code section (not sure why it wouldn't work, but I have the TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAME command in the Time lapse G-code frame... I have this issue with the stock camera. I tried unplugging it and using a Logitech C720 webcam and it works for streaming but not for timelapse. |

Just circling back to say, I recently found out about a moonraker "notifier" feature, and I added the notifier code to moonraker.conf to get notifications (including snapshot images) on my Discord server. This notification thing is working flawlessly, including attaching the snapshot image, so clearly my camera is working. Yet I still cannot get time lapse to work. |

Just circling back around to include my moonraker.log in case it helps with troubleshooting this, as the feature is still not working, on any of my three AD5M's all of which have the Klipper Mod done on them. |

Probably copy and paste error. I was manually copying the results from the terminal window while copying the command from a text file where I was trying to keep track of things. |

My three AD5M's are all non-pro edition, and in all three I have the camera that FF sells for the pro, installed by plugging them into the touchscreen, just as FF said in some directions somewhere. |

EDITED to say: Please disregard. I seem to have unintentionally navigated to some other /bin folder that's in the root and not under /usr. If so, please forgive the rookie mistake. Previous comment is below, but please disregard. Does the current version of this mod, while on the guppyscreen variant, handle installing ffmpeg onto the printer? If not, what command(s) are needed to install it, presumably via SSH? And finally, if it's not installed or verified by the mod, perhaps the ffmpeg install process should be mentioned in the mod's readme section regarding time lapse, over at https://github.com/xblax/flashforge_ad5m_klipper_mod/blob/master/docs/TIMELAPSE.md Reason why I'm asking is, as I mentioned above, when I SSH into the printer as "root", I can "cd" into "usr", and into "bin" but once there, if I do "ls" — I don't see any subdirectory named ffmpeg. I also naturally cannot "cd" into it. 
UPDATE: I just now, more carefully, navigated to the actual /usr/bin/ directory, and the ffmpeg program is there:

OK, so on my third AD5M, which is on 192.168.1.33, that's the printer I was on SSH in, when I ran the command to copy ffmpeg over to the other location, and there based on changing directory and doing Below is the moonraker.log from that session. |

ok..not surprising since ffmpeg is ONLY used to compile the movie...I was assuming wget was missing too if ffmpeg was missing (either way, even if you could get image snapshots saved, you would LATER fail when trying to create the timelapse). But you indicated wget DID actually exist when you tried to ln -s it so, something else is wrong there (not just missing WGET). Lets try

OK, after I did that SSH command you sent, to copy from one place to another, now when I do "ls" in the /usr/bin directory, there is a lot more stuff in there. Here's what the contents looked like before:

I am here working on my first AD5M, the one I did not do the SSH copy command on. I did finally realize I had been in the wrong /bin folder, and the right /usr/bin folder does contain the wget and ffmpeg. On that first printer, when I enter in a browser, this: http://192.168.1.14:8080?action=snapshot ...and when I then go look inside the images folder using SSH, with the As I mentioned before, this is not a pro model. It is AD5M, not pro. |

Hum...ok, well, the plot thickens. I'll be interested to see if you apply the KlipperMOD from the downgraded flashforge OS image from Matt. It should not make any difference, from what I understand and how this KlipperMOD was developed but, at this point, I'm sort of at a loss for what can be going on (except that the failure to write to your timelapse/images director error message in moonraker.log is key). I don't know if you can go in and just change the whole timelapse and images directory to have 777 perms which would allow it to operate for both root and any other user or what. But something odd is definately happening. Seems you have a LOT more in common with Matt-Armfields setup (FFA5M not PRO and running guppy) than mine... |

I'm running Guppy screen and have the time lapse videos. @DougJoseph, do
you have the time lapse option turned on in Fluidd? Just curious as I have
toggled it off from the Fluidd interface when I didn't want the time lapse.

hum...did you fresh install guppy screen or downgrade to that after installing Klipper screen? Doug is missing several files and base functions in his installation (I myself never installed anything but the klipper screen version). I would ask Doug to confirm by uninstalling the KlipperMOD on one of his three printers and reinstalling the full klipper screen version if he can get timelapse working on that. He maintains he has guppy screen installed (not LITE version). /shrug just trying to help him make sense of why his experiences are different than most here. |

After my factory reset, I went straight with the Guppyscreen variant. I
have the 5M and not 5M PRO so not sure if that makes a difference.

@Matt-Armfield I cannot find anywhere to download the firmware version you showed here. I have downloaded copies of v 2.3.1, v 2.3.7, v 2.4.2, and v 2.4.5. The FF website currently does not offer any versions for download except v 2.3.1, v 2.3.7, and v 2.4.5. In the interest of my reset experiment matching yours that was successful, is there any chance you'd be willing to upload and share your downloaded copy of v 2.6.5? |

My three AD5M's were bought over time, and all came with different stock firmware versions on them from the factory, so they all had slightly different starting points for when I did the Klipper Mod on them, and on the second and third, I did the mod right at the start. The first one, I did it as soon as I could, and it was close to the start. I also applied the Klipper Mod to a fourth AD5M which belongs to a relative. I started with the Klipperscreen variant, and did that on both #1 and #4. I later switched #1 to Guppyscreen variant, and both #2 and #3 were done as Guppyscreen variant from the start. All of these were the non-pro printer. Thus far, the time lapse feature did not work on any of them. So now, based on testimony from @Matt-Armfield that his AD5M (non-pro) has Guppyscreen and time lapse is working for him after he factory reset his to factory firmware 2.6.5 and then reinstalled the Guppyscreen variant, with the reset being due to some issue that locked him out of his printer... I am going to attempt a factory reset on my #3 AD5M, and try re-downloading and reinstalling the latest current version of the mod. The FF website currently does not offer any firmware versions for download except v 2.3.1, v 2.3.7, and v 2.4.5. I have stored on my computer those three plus v 2.4.2. Since that's all I have, I am attempting to flash the firmware back down to v 2.4.5.
Log from the Mod re-install: klipper_mod_install.log Moonraker.log — after doing all the above, and still no success in getting timelapse frames captured. |

Also note: Even though I did a factory reset, removed the Klipper Mod, and reinstalled the Klipper Mod, the zip file from yesterday where I outputted all config files, is still showing. There are other signs of some elements persisting past the factory reset and mod uninstall. |

@DougJoseph Here's the link. https://we.tl/t-NB64VwajaK I do recall having to email support directly to get this firmware since I had read somewhere here or on reddit that this firmware fixed someone's issue with SSH access. In my case, it fixed the timelapse as well. As far as timelapse settings, I did not make any changes to any settings after adding the onboard 5M camera and enabling the timelapse setting. I can pull my camera settings if you need but it appears yours is working from the browser so it should work for timelapse in my humble opinion. |

Thanks for including Moonraker-timelapse support in the latest v005 release (back in May, I think). I wasn't following closely, and learned of it only recently.
I see that the feature is baked into the new release. I have a working webcam (FlashForge's factory one for the AD5M Pro).
In OrcaSlicer, in my printer settings, under Machine G-Code, in the "Before Layer Change G-Code" section, I have added:
TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAMEIs there anything else I need to do?
Whenever I run a print job, the TimeLapse area indicates no snapshots were taken, and if I then click the macro button to render a timelapse, it gets done instantly and seemingly nothing is produced.
Thanks if anyone can give me a nudge in the right direction!
