Has anyone tried this in conjunction with CoPrint KCM Kit?

I see they are using this mod as part of their conversion. I feel its more of a conversion rather than integration as its pretty much its own printer.

Theres not much documentation out there and even less for this printer. I was curious if anyone has attempted this/ran into any issues.

yes I have. it was difficult, I wound up giving up on the coprint since native multi color printers got so much cheaper. ultimatly it was a hardware issue that pissed me off enough to give up on it.

Ironically ive since purchased the 8 color kit and have it running fairly well. But yep your right, other multi color printers make alot more sense.
