Does capo support fixed ip？

In my case, pod may often be recreated and scheduled to the same node.
So I think if this pod uses the ip before recreated, there maybe smaller impact.
Does capo currently support or plan to fixed ip?

This is a first good issue!

In my scenario, as long as the IP addresses do not exchange, the Redis cluster can be successfully repaired by the Redis Operator, and the cluster topology will be restored to normal. The Lettuce client can reconnect successfully after dynamically refreshing the cluster topology. Therefore, we have only implemented the first step, which is to prevent IP exchange when a large number of Pods are recreated.

However, IP reservation also has its drawbacks, for example, it can waste IP addresses and additional IP addresses may be required to handle the above scenario. Fixed IP addresses are also an exploratory solution. However, once IP addresses are fixed, if Pods migrate between different nodes, the number of IP routes will increase significantly, which may put pressure on routers and result in blackhole routing problems. For more details, please refer to the README of this repository.

Fortunately, blackhole routing can also be disabled. There are still many things to do to achieve fixed IP addresses, but this is already in our plan. You are welcome to discuss it together or submit a first PR.
