[META] Cleaning issues

Is there anything we can do to help cleaning the issue tracker? From a quick triage I could spot at least a dozen of entries that are no longer relevant and could be closed. Since a large number of open bugs always looks a bit shady to new users, I would think that could make the project more attractive.
