Getting node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1078 error via corepack

Hi,

We have our own little tooling where we are downloading and installing our dependencies (nodejs, yarn, docker) etc and run things in their own PowerShell shell, and we recently decided to upgrade our version of node js and also switch to yarn 2+.

Going from yarn 1.22.4 to yarn 3.5.1.

Somehow, if I keep installing yarn 1.22.4 and only then use corepack on node js with the following command corepack enable and corepack prepare [email protected] --activate. I can run my webpack builds, my tests and everything with no issue.

But if I go fresh and directly go for yarn 3.5.1 without installing classic yarn first, somehow all my yarn script are failing.

With following issue. (seems related to nodejs Path maybe??)

throw err;

Error: Cannot find module 'C:\MyProject.yarn_virtual_\webpack-virtual-a5d6bf8b0c\0\cache\webpack-npm-4.46.0-a8158cfa7f-013fa24c00.zip\node_modules\webpack\bin\webpack.js'

I don't know yet if it's related or not but when I go through yarn classic first the console is pretty additional things like this.

Anyone has any idea if I need to run an extra command or something like this to be able to not go through classic yarn?

After some research and doc reading, I figured that we need to keep the .yarnrc.yml and set the nodeLinker: node-modules until we upgrade tools like webpack to support the pnp feature
