Getting data is sometimes slow

How do you get version info in Bump?

For example: if i press on Emmet version, i get in console the following output:

emmet.pyv8loader: Downloading https://api.github.com/repos/emmetio/pyv8-binaries/contents timed out, trying again
using gpu buffer for window
```

Though in a browser it's opening instantly. What might be the issue?
