How to verify if Betterfox's user.js settings successfully took affect?

Hello,

I'm pretty new to Firefox hardening and I had a small question - do I have to place Betterfox's user.js file in my Firefox's profile folder right beside the prefs.js file or does the latter have to be deleted?

And how do I verify if the user.js file's settings took affect on my browser?

You just put it in your active profile folder and restart. You don’t had to deleted the pref file.

Go to about:config. Check that a pref like ‘ pdfjs.enableScripting’ is set to ‘false’. Spot check any other prefs in the user.js.
